I like the style of the game. I would suggest having an item that could be a door to the next room because it can be frustrating having to guess where the exit is.
First I want to say that I really love the pixel art of your characters and the secret room because its so creative and different. The only thing I would change moving forward is the story. I like the idea of being in a forest surrounded by sunflowers and not knowing why your there.
However, I would have loved if you added a maze for your avatar to go through to find the key to go home or more added characters that could play as guides and explain why the avatar appeared in the forest. That would have been cool. So, I suggest something like that because your game is so creative that I think it should be brought to life more.
